The author of According to the Spirit is Marko Ivan Rupnik who was born in Zadlog, Slovenia in 1954 and entered the Jesuits in 1973. He now lives and works in Rome at the Alelier Centre where he is the Director and where he leads the Atelier d’arte spirituale (Spiritual Art Studio). He teaches at the Pontifical Gregorian University and at the Pontifical Liturgical Institute of St Anselm, Rome.
