Description: Ministering as a catechist is one of the highest callings within the church. Your "yes" to this calling-for whatever reason-needs to be affirmed and supported by an understanding of the ministry of catechesis, your role as minister, the audience to whom you are ministering, and the art of this ministry. Carrie Sallwasser offers an overview of the ministry of religious education for novice and veteran catechists alike that will aid in their ongoing formation as catechists in the ministry of forming disciples.

Carrie Sallwasser has served as a parish catechetical leader for nearly twenty years. She served as president of the National Association of Parish Catechetical Directors for three years. Carrie has authored articles and columns in Catechist magazine on parish catechesis, and has led diocesan and national workshops for the National Catholic Educational Association. Carrie holds an MA in theology from Aquinas Institute of Theology.
